The Lipan Apache Tribe is proud to announce that tribe member Daniel Villarreal, Councilman and Director of the Tribe’s veteran services, is one of ten recipients of this year’s Society of American Indian Government Employees (SAIGE) Warrior Society’s Military Meritorious Service Award.

The purpose of SAIGE Military Meritorious Service Award is to honor Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve Service members and military veterans in government service, who during the award period thru their service made significant contributions in the following areas:

◈ They supported their organization’s government to government interaction with AI/AN tribes.

◈ Their personal actions both on and off duty contributes to promoting greater understanding of the AI/AN culture.

◈ They promote a positive image of Native Americans/Alaskan Natives in government service.

◈ They reflect attributes best epitomizing the qualities and core values of their respective military service or government agency.

These remarkable AI/AN military and veteran leaders will be recognized during the SAIGE National Training Program Veterans Luncheon on 6 June 2024 at the Northern Quest hotel in Spokane, WA. See more at the westie at www.saige.org.
