UPDATE: We are proud to announce that Darcie Little Badger's book Elatsoe is a finalist for the Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Books, awarded by the World Science Fiction Society at the WorldCon Hugo Awards. The Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Book is an award given annually by the World Science Fiction Convention (the annual convention of the World Science Fiction Society) honoring a book published for young adult readers in the field of science fiction or fantasy.

Lipan Apache Author, Darcie Little Badger, has been selected as a finalist for the 56th Annual Andre Norton Nebula Award by the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA). Little Badger, is an enrolled member of the Lipan Apache Tribe. Her debut novel, Elatsoe, will appear on the ballot for this prestigious award celebrating excellence in young adult and middle grade science fiction and fantasy. Since its release in August 2020, Elatsoe has garnered widespread critical acclaim and was featured in Time Magazine as one of the best 100 fantasy novels of all time. Darcie's second book, A Snake Falls to Earth, is slated for publication on October 12, 2021.

Nebula Award® winners will be chosen by members of the SFWA and announced during the virtual Nebula Conference in June. Little Badger is the first American Indian writer to be honored as an Andre Norton Nebula Award finalist.
